Dog rescued from icy pond on Apawamis Club in Rye

A dramatic rescue unfolded in Rye, New York, as firefighters saved a dog trapped in an icy pond. The incident occurred on Monday morning at the Apawamis Club.

According to eyewitnesses, the dog became stuck in the icy waters of the pond off the 12th tee. Firefighters from the City of Rye Fire Department quickly responded to the scene and began breaking up the surrounding ice.

After approximately 15 minutes, the firefighters successfully rescued the dog and reunited it with its relieved owner.

The dog was not injured during the ordeal.
