One New Jersey native is not just spinning records, he’s breaking them.
Andrew Loffa, better known as DJ Drewski, put the garden state on the map when he became the first DJ from New Jersey to hold a full-time show on the hip hop station HOT 97, in 33 years.
DJ Drewski grew up in Elizabeth, discovering his passion for music at an early age and even landing his first internship with DJ Cipha Sounds right out of high school.
He began interning at HOT 97 in 2008, doing varying jobs such as camera work, editing, and producing while still building his own brand and DJing on the side.
His brand and recognition continued to grow, landing him opportunities to tour with artists, host TV shows, and even star on VH1’s Loe & Hip Hop: New York. Drewski eventually founded MVMT, a radio and digital platform dedicated to discovering and breaking new recording artists.
You can tune into DJ Drewski every weekday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., as he makes Jersey history.
