Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R-New York) said Friday the city will again search for remains at Ground Zero after Con Ed found bones in a manhole.
Officials say bones as large as arms or legs and a wallet were recently found at the site, enraging victims? relatives. Sally Regenhard lost her firefighter son on September 11th. She says she?s sick and disgusted that construction continues while the remains of more than 1,000 victims are unaccounted for. Some families are suing the city and calling for the federal government to oversee the recovery process.
Bloomberg called a meeting with the FDNY, NYPD and Con Edison. Under the new search, utility crews will probe manholes along with city officials.
