Eight additional counties in New Jersey are now under consideration for a disaster declaration.
The Office of Emergency Management, as well as FEMA, toured Hudson, Essex, Mercer, Union, Burlington, Monmouth, Morris and Warren counties this week.
The federal government so far has only approved major disaster declarations for Bergen, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Passaic, Middlesex and Somerset counties.
