Three disabled New Jersey residents are suing NJ Transit for discrimination.
All three residents claim bus drivers ignore them on purpose while they wait at stops. They also claim train conductors have been rude and abusive at times. In addition, the three residents say NJ Transit has never taken action on their complaints.
A citizen watchdog group, New Jersey Citizen Action, says it gets similar complaints about NJ Transit all the time. One group member hopes this lawsuit will put a stop to the discrimination on buses and trains.
