Democrats push Trump to support Gateway Tunnel Project. Murphy: "Too much at stake."

The president had said he planned to pull federal funding before the Government shutdown.

Democrats in New Jersey want President Trump back on board the Gateway Project Train.

United States Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim as well as Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill asking President Trump to once again throw his support behind the Gateway Tunnel Project.

The president had said he planned to pull federal funding before the Government shutdown.

Now that the shutdown has ended, elected officials hoping for the project's completion, which includes the new portal bridge over the Hackensack River, want President Trump to fully be on board.

Governor Murphy said on News 12 New Jersey's, "Ask Governor Murphy" program Thursday night that he is confident Trump will throw his support behind it once again adding, "there's too much at stake."
