A dead dolphin was spotted washed ashore on the beach in Sandy Hook.

A photo was posted on Instagram by the organization Clean Ocean Action. The photo shows the carcass near the high tide line.

A cause of death was not provided.

The death comes almost exactly a year since a string of marine mammal deaths began in the area.
