Warmer temperatures arrive, along with possibility of rain

Winter’s chill relaxes for a bit with more seasonable weather returning for the remainder of the week. But unsettled weather returns with it.
Fair weather is now moving away from the eastern seaboard. This weather pattern brings a change in the wind direction. The air mass is more Carolina-like in nature so eventually we'll start to see things becoming milder over the next few days. Daytime highs climb into the mid- to upper-50s. (Which for this time of year, is above average.”

Rain could be a nuisance Friday afternoon into the wee hours of Saturday morning. It certainly doesn't look like a soaking, but on-and-off showers for a Friday night aren't ideal date night weather.
The weekend looks like a 50/50 split. Saturday is cloudy but should remain rain-free. Sunday on the other hand looks like occasional showers with a possible coastal storm trying to emerge to not only deliver scattered rain for Sunday but could also try and deliver a wintry mix to parts of the tri-state area. (Read into that as WELL NORTH of Interstate 80 into the lower Hudson Valley and northern Connecticut.)
