DA: Bronx man sentenced to 20 years for killing romantic rival

A Bronx man was sentenced to 20 years for shooting a romantic rival, Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Friday.
Clark says 54-year-old Pedro Mercado beat, pistol-whipped, and shot Joshua Antonetti in the head in a parking lot at 645 Westchester Ave. on Sept. 4, 2023.
Antonetti died the following day.
Prosecutors say Mercado was dating Antonetti's wife, who, an hour before the shooting, ended her relationship with Mercado.
