Crowds filled the streets of Somerville this Memorial Day for the oldest bike race in America.
The Tour of Somerville, in its 76th year, features world-class cyclists going head-to-head.
The event draws in racers from across the country and the world. Cyclists take part in a variety of competitions.
The main event, which kicked off just after 4 p.m., includes a men's 50-mile course and a women's 25-mile course. Along the way, fans cheer them on from restaurants, bars and yard parties.
The free event expected to welcome in up to 30,000 people each year.
