There were some frightening moments for customers and employees of a Wendy?s in Paramus Sunday night.
Police say the restaurant on Route 4 has been robbed three times since September. While the first two robberies happened after the establishment was closed, the latest robbery happened while customers were still inside. Security cameras caught the armed robbery on tape. Authorities say the two robbers made off with approximately $1,800.
Investigators say they don?t know why the thieves keep hitting the restaurant, but believe its location could have something to do with it. Meanwhile, after the first two robberies, Wendy?s hired security guards to keep watch at closing time. However, they were not working during Sunday?s robbery. The Bergen County prosecutor?s office is assisting the Paramus Police Department and looking into possible connections with similar robberies in other towns.
