Crowds gather for 46th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Belmar
People wearing green gathered Sunday for the 46th annual Belmar/Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Residents from all over the Garden State showed up despite the impending wintry weather to support their families and friends.
"We come down here every year, the whole family and we just celebrate," said Vicky Borre of Old Bridge.
Police officers, firefighters and EMS workers from all over the event were represented at the event.
Paradegoers tell News 12 that they hope the family friendly event will continue for generations.
Although it's still two weeks before St. Patrick's Day, some Irish families say they celebrate all month.
Despite the incoming storm, people tell News 12 this year's parade was better attended than previous years.
