Authorities in Somerset County are offering a reward for information regarding a murder that left two people dead, including a 14-year-old boy.
Somerset County Crime Stoppers is offering $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the murders of 31-year-old Christian Orellana and his 14-year-old cousin Steven Jimenez.
Authorities say that North Plainfield police officers were called to the Malcolm Gardens Apartment Complex on Little Place around 8 p.m. on Aug. 13 for reports of multiple people shot.
Authorities say that Jimenez was pronounced dead at the scene and that Orellana died at the hospital. A third victim remains in critical condition at the hospital, according to the prosecutor.
The three victims are cousins, according to officials. They were outside on the first-floor patio of the apartment when they were shot.
