Crews are working to move the roller coaster off Seaside Height's Casino Pier as part of a major expansion of the boardwalk.
The expansion project began earlier this month. The roller coaster is being moved to make room for a Ferris wheel on the new section of the pier.
"We've never moved a roller coaster before," says Jason Devooght of Devooght House and Building Movers. "It's kind of exciting, very unique structure to move and we're very happy to be moving it."
Devooght says the structure is being moved using a hydraulic jack machine and remote control dolly.
It will take about five more days for the roller coaster to be relocated. The expansion project is expected to be completed by next summer.
Casino Pier was badly damaged during Superstorm Sandy in 2012 and then damaged again by a major fire about a year later.
