Coyote that attacked 2 people in Saddle River tests positive for rabies

The coyote was captured and euthanized after attacking two men walking their dogs.

A coyote that attacked two people in Bergen County has tested positive for rabies.

Saddle River police say that the first attack happened near Chestnut Road on Thursday evening. A man reported that a coyote had attacked him while he was walking his dog.

Police say that the next day, another man reported that he was also attacked while walking his dog.

The coyote was captured and euthanized.

Both victims were treated for their injuries.
