The man accused of shooting two Newark police officers last week will be back in court this Wednesday.

Kendall Howard was arrested following a 22-hour manhunt after police say he fired at officers on Tuesday.

One officer was injured in the leg, and the other in the shoulder, though both have been released from the hospital.

Howard pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges in his first appearance, and is facing several weapons offenses.
