County executives trade paint on the racetrack for a good cause

The county executives of Rockland and Orange counties put the pedal to the metal for a good cause Thursday night.
Ed Day and Steve Neuhaus traded paint for a good cause in a three-lap go-karting race at the Palisades Mall last night.
The race was one just many events surrounding the Penguin Plunge event in Nyack. The organization helps families with seriously ill children by paying for medical bills.
This year's efforts will benefit two little girls from the Hudson Valley. "Teagan and Jhenae are two young little girls that are in need of help. And to be part of something like that, it just warms your heart, it really does," says Rockland County Executive Day. "It’s supporting families that really need it most, and as a father of four, it really hits home," adds Orange County Executive Neuhaus.
For the record, Neuhaus was the winner but it was all in good fun as the organizers hoped to raise $10,000 for the cause.
