Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ) slammed the Republican candidate for New Jersey?s open U.S. Senate seat Sunday for allegedly taking advice from a convict on how to smear his opponent.
Corzine and U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) stood side-by-side and defended U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ). According to the governor, New Jersey State Senator Tom Kean Jr. (R-21st District) has connections to jailed felon and former Hudson County official Bob Janiszewsji. Democrats say they are appalled by the negative ads attacking Menendez?s character and ethics.
Many voters told News 12 New Jersey the squabble is politics as usual. However, others where less optimistic, saying all politicians are corrupt.
