A worker injured at a Newark construction site died on Saturday, according to Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda.
Police say they responded to 10 Commerce Court after receiving a call reporting that the man had been hurt while inside an elevator shaft.
The man was pronounced dead at 9:54 a.m.
Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.
