Traffic is moving again on the New Jersey Turnpike after a construction accident caused a 7-mile backup earlier this morning.
State police say a crane was lifting a piece of steel when the beam pivoted into the right lane, hitting a van. Police say the beam sheared off part of the van's roof.
Authorities say the driver, 63-year-old James Crawford, of Newark, sustained lacerations.
Two northbound lanes were closed for about two hours, causing delays in the area.
