Connecticut United Ride takes place at Sherwood Island to honor thousands who lost lives on 9/11

As 9/11 memorials continue throughout Fairfield County,  one of Connecticut's largest tributes took place at Sherwood Island Saturday, where thousands of bikers came together for their Connecticut United Ride.
As the clock struck 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the thousands of bikers took off on their hour-long ride to honor the thousands of lives who died 20 years ago.
The bikers took over part of I-95, and prepared to bike through nine towns, ending in Bridgeport.
Thousands of survivors, countless heroes, and those who died on 9/11 were remembered.
It's a long-lasting tradition for some people, and it brought out over 2,000 bikers this year, making it Connecticut's largest 9/11 tribute.
Connecticut United Ride says they plan on having the same event next year, for the 21st anniversary.
