Construction on the new Yankee Stadium is set to go forward, but one Bronx group wants to put a stop to it. Groundbreaking on the stadium is set to begin next Wednesday. Save Our Parks, however, is taking the Yankees to court hoping to get a restraining order to put a halt to those plans. The group says the new stadium will take down hundreds of trees from Macombs Dam and Mullaly parks. Calls to the Yankees regarding effects the $800 million stadium will have on the neighborhood have not been returned. Related Information Yankees set date for new stadium groundbreaking
