Community activists march for peace in Poughkeepsie amid gun violence

Community activists marched for peace in Poughkeepsie Friday amid a surge in gun violence this week.
Officials say there were three separate shootings on Tuesday. One person was killed, another person was injured and in the third incident no one was hit by a bullet.
Police have increased patrols and anti-gun activists from the group SNUG have ramped up calls for change.
"We're going to march around. We'll have our bullhorn to really just stop the violence," says activist Terrell Carr. "We're not going to tolerate people losing their lives because it's very unfortunate. The point of this is to make an impact… to set the tone."
The march started where a shooting injured a victim on North White Street and ended where a person died in the other shooting on Mansion Street.
