A tightly wound up storm will be passing to the north from western Michigan into upstate New York this weekend. The winds will be the primary weather concern. While there is no wind advisories issued from the National Weather Service... yet I do feel they will be needed for tomorrow. The wind will gust frequently to 25 and 35 mph throughout the day on Saturday.
The start of the weekend looks spectacular, despite the windier conditions. Lots of sun to brighten the day. The gusty wind will eventually come out of the west southwest and then start warm things up a touch. Afternoon highs will likely just get top 50 degrees.
Saturday night looks clear and chilly. We will start to notice more clouds developing towards daybreak on Sunday morning. Lows will hover in the mid to upper 30s Sunday is getting cloudier and cloudier as the day goes by. For the most part, the forecast should be dry. If there is any wet weather, it would likely be sprinkles and along the coastline.

Despite the winter being so snowy, most of New Jersey, right now, is staring at significant drought conditions. The reservoirs have been low for awhile, frozen and snow covered. This is going to change. I think by our next outlook, that will be issued next Thursday, we should see a change as the snow and ice melts and the water will once again fill between the banks our water sheds.
Monday is also what the drought doctor ordered. A day filled with consistent, light but steady rain. By later towards the evening a sharp weather front will drag across the state bringing the chance of thunderstorms to the region.
