Developing coastal storms will begin to steer the winds off the ocean. This will move ocean water up against the coast.
Since we are two days removed from the full moon of September, tides are naturally running higher than normal.
With the onshore flow and building waves minor coastal flooding is possible during the next few high tide cycles.
Rain showers will spiral off the ocean as the coastal storm lurches northward. The rain isn’t going to be anything but just annoying.
The wind off the ocean will keep temperatures from getting to 70 degrees for most locations. By Wednesday night, the coastal storm will be far enough offshore that the clouds will get pulled away and clearer weather is expected for Thursday.
Usually, cooler air follows this type of weather system, but warmer weather just to our west is going to be dragged thru on Thursday so expect temperatures to warm to near or over 80 degrees.
Forecast:
Tonight: Building clouds breezy/ cooler, 50 degrees.
Wednesday: Overcast with passing showers. Temperatures in the upper 60s.
Thursday: Sunny and warmer. High: 81 degrees
Friday into the weekend: Sun and clouds with temperatures in the low to mid-70s.
