Frigid feel and wicked wind takes over this week across Brooklyn

Up to an inch of snow fell across the borough on Monday, unlocking even colder and windy weather for the rest of the workweek. Then all eyes will be on the potential for another snowstorm this weekend.

OVERNIGHT: Watch out for icy spots across the borough overnight as temperatures will remain below freezing and fall to the low 20s. Any untreated areas of snow, as well as melted puddles will freeze and create slippery conditions for commuters for the Tuesday morning commute. This freezing cold will remain all the way until Friday. Temperatures will be stuck in the freezer with highs in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
BRUTAL COLD: Despite actual temperatures in the 20s, it will feel like single digits and teens at best. It will be a prolonged period of frigid weather that the borough has not seen in several years. Morning wind chills will be between 5 and 10 degrees, with the coldest morning expected on Thursday. This is due to the combination of the cold and high wind. Gusts could be over 40 mph on Tuesday, and well over 30 mph by the end of the workweek. The wind won't quit until Friday night but could come back depending on what a potential storm could bring this weekend.
POTENTIAL STORM: There has been plenty of chatter across social media about a "blizzard" but it is simply too soon to know if a storm will form and where it could track. It is about a 50/50 shot to see snow on Saturday and expect those odds to change by Wednesday.
