Restoration and cleaning crews are hard at work following a fire at a school in Lyndhurst.
Washington School was closed on Monday following a large fire that started in the basement of the school over the weekend.
Officials say that the structure of the building wasn’t compromised and that the fire does not seem to be suspicious.
The school was closed on Monday. Classes were also canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday so that administrators can plan where students will need to be relocated while the cleanup is ongoing.
Classes are set to resume Thursday at various other schools in the district. Parents will be notified where students will be sent for the time being.
