Multiple families have accused the Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside of poor management.
News 12 New Jersey first reported about a family who says their grandmother’s grave was found unearthed and partially opened.
Other families came forward after that story aired with claims of disturbed graves and missing grave markers.
The lawsuit claims the cemetery is “illegally stacking and crushing caskets and bodies.”
The cemetery has previously denied allegations of wrongdoing.
