Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) had some choice words for one Democratic state lawmaker today in Trenton.
Responding to comments made by Assemblyman Reed Guscoria, Christie said, "You have numbnuts like Reed Gusciora, who put out a statement comparing me to George Wallace and Lester Maddox... Come on guys, at some point you have to be able to call B.S. on these press releases."
Last week, Gusciora pounded Christie for his interpretation of the fight for gay marriage in relation to the battle over civil rights in the 1960s.
Gusciora responded to the governor with a release that stated: "The governor constantly reverts to name-calling when he is unable to address issues on their merits. The fact is the governor's opposition to the civil right of marriage equality is comparable to others who opposed other civil rights. If he doesn't like the comparison, then he should change his position on marriage equality and sign the bill into law."
