FORECAST:
Today's high won't be as cold as yesterday with highs near 52 degrees. The sun will poke through some passing clouds with windy conditions. Gusts near 20-25 mph from the west-northwest.
The sky will feature some clouds tonight into tomorrow with may limit the opportunity to view the aurora borealis/northern lights.
There was an X-class solar flare that sent a rush of geomagnetic energy toward earth that caused some aurora displays farther south than usual in the northern hemisphere last night.
The energy from the sun is still expected to arrive to earth today, with another batch arriving for midday. This batch may cause some but brief disruptions to radio communications and GPS precision. There is a chance for aurora to return this evening if the geomagnetic energy continues to reach earth, but it would be something determined later today by NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center based on satellite measurements later this afternoon.
The weather over the next few days will be November-like with highs in the lower 50s and lows in the mid-30s/low-40s.
Rain is expected for Sunday midday and evening.
