Three children battling life-threatening diseases had the chance to bake alongside a New Jersey Cake Boss.
Make-A-Wish New Jersey and Macy's Believe campaign helped set up a meeting between the children and Buddy Valastro in Jersey City.

After decorating their own chef coats and hats, they headed to Carlo's Bakery Cake Factory to start baking.

Layla, 11, suffers from a rare genetic condition, which causes seizures. She is a huge fan of "Cake Boss" and often watched the shows during her hospital visits.

"I like the flavored cake and frosting and his tricks and cake decorations," Layla said.

For every letter written to Santa and put in Macy's mailbox, the store donated $1 to Make-A-Wish.

"It's really amazing to see your child who has gone through quite a bit to just really be able to enjoy the biggest moment she'll probably ever have," said one of the parents.

Since the partnership, the annual Believe campaign has helped Make-A-Wish grant more than 14,000 wishes.
