During the Vietnam War, thousands of children were evacuated from South Vietnam and sent to the U.S., Canada and Australia in a humanitarian effort known as Operation Babylift.
Today those children are all grown up, and they were honored Saturday at the Vietnam Memorial in Holmdel.
News 12 New Jersey spoke with Pu-Lani Carlson, now a 40-year-old mother of three, and New York executive Jim Dudas, 43, about the incredible journey that brought them to American four decades ago.
Both Carlson and Dudas have travelled back to Vietnam three times in an attempt to find their birth parents. So far they have not made that connection.
