The revival of the musical "Chicago" is one of Broadway's longest running shows, ever. For nearly 26 years, it has entertained audiences with the production's classic score by John Kander and Fred Ebb. And for most of its years on Broadway, actress Charlotte d'Amboise has often returned to perform the lead role of Roxie Hart.
"She can be kooky and sexy and funny and serious and so many different things. You know, like this," says d'Amboise snapping her fingers to convey the beat of her character. "I find that I'm kind of good at that kind of thing,"

She first performed as Roxie in a national tour of Chicago and later began stints in the role on Broadway some 23 years ago.
"I've been playing it since I was in my 30s, and I'm older now and I've just matured into it, " says d'Amboise.

Roxie Hart is a killer about to stand trial but with dreams of being an entertainer. The show is set in the 1920s jazz age in Chicago.

Charlotte d'Amboise is the daughter of the late legendary New York City Ballet dancer Jacques d'Amboise.
