Parts of New Jersey are seeing heavy rain and thunderstorms that are expected to continue into this afternoon.

Chance of heavy rain showers, thunderstorms last through evening hours
The chance for heavy rain showers and thunderstorms will last through the Wednesday evening hours.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Brittany Borer says that the storms will begin to wind down by around 7 p.m. and will then clear out by around 10 p.m.

The storms started up Wednesday morning, causing lots of damage in parts of Monmouth County. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of Monmouth County for a time. The storm brought multiple trees down in the area.
Borer says that Wednesday’s overnight hours will be mostly clear with temperatures cooling into the 60s. Areas of New Jersey in higher elevations could see temperatures in the mid-50s.
Thursday is expected to see mostly clear skies with warm temperatures in the low-80s. Overnight lows will cool into the mid-60s under partly cloudy skies.
Friday will see a mix of sun and clouds. The high will be around 84 degrees, with an overnight low around 69 degrees.
The weekend is shaping up to be partly cloudy with temperatures in the 80s.
