CDC recommends home COVID testing ahead of indoor gatherings
The CDC has issued new guidance to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The CDC is urging people to use a rapid test before going to any indoor gathering, even if they are vaccinated and do not have symptoms.
At-home tests are now available at most pharmacies.
As News 12 has reported, President Joe Biden’s omicron response plan includes free at-home COVID-19 testing kits. The kits can cost anywhere from $24 to $40.
The Biden administration is requiring reimbursement for the tests by health insurance companies starting in January 2022.
