The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that cases of measles are on the rise.
The health agency issued a warning to health providers to be on alert after several outbreaks of measles were reported – largely among unvaccinated children.
Health officials have tracked nearly two dozen cases of the virus since December.
They say this comes as vaccination rates have dropped significantly in the United States – reaching a record level of exemptions last school year.
