CDC: 22% of adults seek mental health treatment, up 3% from 2019

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 22% of adults in the United States received psychiatric treatment in 2021, a 3% increase from 2019.
Some health officials say the pandemic prompted people to take better care of themselves.
In that CDC report, they also note that women were more likely than men to seek help.
