Carteret is honoring Black History Month by holding a special film series during the month of February.
The event will take place every Friday night at the Carteret Performing Arts & Events Center.
The films feature African American history and Black actors in prominent roles.
The series kicks off on Saturday with a showing of “The Pursuit of Happyness” at 1 p.m., and then “Buffalo Soldiers at 3 p.m.
