A woman and her two children were injured after they were struck by a vehicle on U.S. Route 9 in Lakewood.
Police say a 27-year-old woman was pushing her children, ages 4 and 1, in a carriage across the intersection of U.S. Route 9 and Edgewood Court at around 10 p.m. when the collision occurred.
Authorities say the woman suffered a facial laceration, while the children both sustained serious head injuries. All three were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The mother is listed in stable condition and the two children are listed in critical condition.
