A series of wild crashes happened Monday in Hackensack. The first crash happened just after 8 a.m. Crews responded to a scene where one car was on top of another on South River Street. Firefighters worked to stabilize the jeep just to get the driver out.

The second crash happened hours later around 2 p.m. The car ended up on its side against a building on Kinderkamack Road. Fire officials say the driver of the car hit a building after its airbag went off and rolled over.

The driver managed to get out of the wreck and the three people inside were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

Then a car hit a utility pole head on along Prospect Avenue around 7 p.m. Emergency crews got there and called PSEG due to live wires that came down because of the crash. The two people inside the car got out and were taken to the hospital.

Crews also responded to a car fully engulfed in flames along Passaic Street. Firefighters quickly put the car out before the fire could spread. No injuries were reported.
