Officials: Car crash leaves 3 people seriously injured in Alexandria Township

One driver attempted to make a left onto County Road 513 and collided with another driver, causing that driver to collide with a fence.

A car crash in Alexandria Township left three people seriously injured on Saturday.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. on County Road 513. Officials say a Nissan passenger vehicle was traveling on Whitehead Road approaching CR 513, and a Jeep SUV was traveling southbound on CR 513 approaching Whitehead Road.

They say the driver of the Nissan attempted to make a left onto CR 513 and collided with the Jeep, causing the Jeep to collide with a fence.

As a result of the crash, officials say the driver of the Jeep, 49-year-old Leandro Rivera, of Frenchtown, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the Nissan, 18-year-old Theodore Martin, of Glen Rock, sustained serious injuries and was medivacked to an area hospital, according to officials. The passenger in the Nissan, 20-year-old David Leone, of Pittstown, also suffered from serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
