? A museum in Morris Heights is honoring the contributions of African-Americans and Latinos at sea this Black History Month.
The exhibit at Roberto Clemente State Park features videos and designs, such as a new harpoon that revolutionized the whaling industry. Visitors can also see pictures of prominent seamen from the 18th and 19th centuries. The exhibit shows how the maritime industry and the struggle for equality intersected with support from leaders like Marcus Garvey.
The exhibit starts this weekend and will run until February 26.
