A wildfire at Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in Burlington County was 100% contained Tuesday, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

The wildfire broke out Monday in the area of Coopers Road. Forest fire officials say the fire burned 246 acres. No injuries were reported.

Due to weather conditions, the forest fire warns that smoke from the Acorn Hill wildfire is expected to hang low to the ground and reduce visibility Tuesday during the overnight and early morning hours on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
