Sen. Robert Menendez says most of the federal stimulus coming into the Garden State will be spent on education. The senator made his announcement in Ridgefield Monday. According to Menendez, nearly $2 billion in federal aid will help pay for classroom upgrades, new teachers and other school-related expenses. Money will also be set aside to help with college tuition, according to the senator. The stimulus package will include $30 million in grant money for students applying to college, he says.
