Celebrations took place all weekend around New York City and Brooklyn- based organization, "I am CaribBEING" hosted "Juneteenth + One Love little Caribbean Day" at the Prospect Park Boat House.
In collaboration with the Prospect Park Alliance, Caribbean business owners, musicians, artists, and so much more populated the venue to celebrate both their heritage and Juneteenth.
Each artist, dancer, musician, and vendor who participated in the celebration come from Caribbean roots, such as Jamaica and Trinidad.
Nearly 1,000 New York residents came out to hit the dance floor, enjoy traditional Caribbean food and drinks, and shop products created by Caribbean American vendors.
The Brooklyn-based Caribbean heritage group will be hosting events all month long in honor of Caribbean American Heritage Month.
