Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) spent the last 24 hours touching base with voters. The incumbent talked to people in places like Junior?s restaurant. Political analysts expect her to easily sail into a second term. She faces former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer. The Republican blames his less than favorable odds on a lack of campaign funding.Democrat Alan Hevesi, who was once favored to be re-elected as state comptroller, has a slight lead against Republican Chris Callaghan. Hevesi has been under fire over the use of a state worker to drive his wife. The comptroller says death threats led him to fear for his wife?s life.
