Bronx residents came out over the weekend to celebrate the 10th annual Feast of Saint Theresa in Pelham Bay.
Parishioners say Saint Theresa is known as the patron saint of missions and little things and some say it?s the little things that keep the community thriving. Many residents say the Feast of Saint Theresa is a celebration of their roots and a reminder of togetherness.
Those who attended enjoyed food, games and some gambling. A time capsule was also filled with memorabilia and buried during the carnival. Residents say it will be dug up in 25 years. All of the money collected during the feast will go toward funding for the church of Saint Theresa School and Parish programs.
