Bronx residents adjust to loss of park as stadium construction gets underway

Several weeks after the Yankees broke ground on their new stadium, Bronx residents are adjusting to the loss of MaCombs Dam Park.The 53,000-seat stadium is being built on the former site of the park.

Several weeks after the Yankees broke ground on their new stadium, Bronx residents are adjusting to the loss of MaCombs Dam Park.The 53,000-seat stadium is being built on the former site of the park. While construction is underway, residents have been heading over to Mullaly Park. However, that won?t last long since the park is scheduled to be built on as well.The organization Save Our Parks says the stadium is detrimental to the environment and vows to fight the plan to the end.
