A group of Riverdale nuns were honored Tuesday at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Manhattan for their years of service to the poor.
The nuns, who are with the congregation Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul of New York, joined 600 others from their order to march in the parade, which was dedicated in their honor.
"We're kind of used to taking the backseat on a lot of things, so I think this is a chance for us to shine and celebrate," says Sister Regina Bechtle.
