Family members and friends mourned a Bronx native and soldier on Father?s Day at a wake in Parkchester.People who knew 35-year-old Jose Velez remember him as a happy-go-lucky man who loved his family. Velez?s family says a roadside bomb in Iraq killed him days before his birthday. He leaves behind two young children. Fellow soldiers also attended the wake.
Velez?s funeral is scheduled for Monday.
